Participation in India Spelling Bee has been through school only. However, the COVID-19 pandemic has created a situation where many schools are closed and unable to register for participation. As a result of this, thousands of students across the country are being unable to participate even if they wish to. We have received thousands of requests from parent and students to allow individual participation especially because it would provide the students an opportunity to participate in an educational activity from their homes even during this pandemic.

Therefore, as a special exception, it has been decided to allow individual registrations in ISB 2024-25. Students from anywhere in India who wish to register individually should note the following points given below very carefully before registering.

Important points:
i) Participation in India Spelling Bee is open to students enrolled in any recognised school/educational board in India.
ii) Individual Registration is available ONLY IF your school has not registered for India Spelling Bee 2024-25.
iii) Students of classes 1-9 anywhere in India can participate.
iv) There is a one-time fee of Rs. 295 for the students who register individually, i.e. without school.
v) Please note that there is a discount on the fees if you register through your school which is not available if you register individually.
vi) India Spelling Bee school level contest for individuals will be held in ONLINE FORMAT ONLY.
vii) All certificates, guidebook and tests will be provided online only.
viii) Students who do INDIVIDUAL REGISTRATION cannot be shifted to school registration later on and no refund/adjustment can be made.
